Model 1028-1 is designed for sprinkler systems flowing from 6-28 GPM per sprinkler zone and Model 1045-1 1/4 is for sprinkler zones flowing 18-45 GPM. It is easy to determine which one is right for you. Simply count the sprinkler heads on each zone. Most rotor heads flow 3GPM and most spray heads flow 1 1/2GPM.

Example: If you have 5 rotor heads (5 X 3 GPM = 15 GPM) and 3 spray heads (3 X 1 1/2 = 4 1/2 GPM), then that zone flows 15 + 4 1/2 = 19 1/2 GPM. Your sprinkler system would then require Model 1028-1.
